We didn't know anyone going into the hike, but by the end we became family. Our guides, Paul, Jimmy, and Jackson made the trip incredible.
They had so much information about the different sights along the way and made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. At night we had the breathtaking view of the milky way, as well as a description of how the Incas saw the stars - it truly felt like we were on the pilgramage to Machu Picchu at the height of the Incan Empire.
It was an amazing help to have the support (and jokes) from fellow hikers and guides to make it to the top of "Dead Woman's Pass". The views of the Andian skylines were worth every step of the way.
We all felt very spoiled with the amount of food provided, keeping our energy up for the duration of the hike, right up to the final UNBELIEVABLE religous centre of Machu Picchu.
