From the start, Ruth was very professional with my online booking, providing me with all the answers to my questions. Her emails were prompt and quick whenever I had any queries.
On the first day of arrival, I had missed my connecting flight from Lima to Cusco and had to call Jose Sr to inform him of my late arrival. My flight ended up arriving late to Cusco in the end and when I came out of the airport, there was no one to meet me. A quick phone call to Jose Sr and within minutes, Roberto, was there to pick me up. I didn´t have to wait too long which was good after a long flight from Cayman Islands to Cusco.
As I´ve forgotten to take down the address of the hostel I was staying in, Roberto, made a quick phone call back to the office where Elmer did a quick check for me. After settling down into my hostel, I took a slow walk down towards Plaza Amis and then headed towards Inca Trail office where I was met by a very friendly Elmer. Also showed me a good local restaurant to have dinner. He volunteered to walk me back to my hostel which was quite out of the way even though he didn´t have to.
Ramiro is an awesome guide!!!! If it wasn´t for him, I would have given up a couple of times. He constantly encouraged me to keep going and that our destination was just around the corner. He constantly kept at my pace as I was the slowest one in the group. He even managed to get me a porter for the 2nd and 3rd day after I struggled with my back pack on the first day. All the porters and cook were marvelous!!! I always look forward to reaching our camp site which was always ready upon our arrival. The food was to-die-for!!! Our early morning wake-up call with the cocoa tea was superb! It makes waking up so much more easier. All the staff were ready to help with a smiling face and that is what makes this trip so enjoyable!
I will definitely recommend Inca Trail Reservations to all my friends who want to experience the Inca Trail Hike. And if I ever decide to come back and do the Salkantay Hike or even just to experience more of what Peru has to offer.
