It was easy to arrange our trek with Inca Trail Reservations . Mariella was very helpful in answering all of our questions and in booking our transfers into and out of Cusco.

Everything was well organized and reliable. We met our guide, Gerson, and received an informative orientation the night before the trek. The hike was challenging yet rewarding. Gerson always had a positive attitude and lots of interesting information about the archeological sites along the way. By the end of the trek we had a vivid picture of the Inca culture and daily life. Gerson also set a good pace for the group and on the difficult parts we could set our own speed.

The porters and the cook worked hard to get our campsite set up before we arrived. It was my birthday on the second day of the hike and the cook surprised me with a birthday cake that he baked on the trail! It was amazing!

The campsites in general were sufficient with taps for water that could be purified and in-ground flush toilets. The first day was relatively easy and we saw many locals on the trail. The second day was the most challenging but provided breathtaking vistas. The third day we saw many ruins and only had to hike with packs for half a day.

Finally the last day we arrived at Macchu Picchu where Gerson gave us a great tour of the city. Overall we had a fantastic trek. Thank you Mariella, Gerson, and everyone at Inca Trail Reservations!!
