Chat on WhatsAppOur Trek began on May 3rd 2016 to the Salkantay trail .Our guide, whom we had meet two days prior for orientation, was very knowledgable and guided us safely throughout our journey .
The first day, we meet our guide at our hotel and was taken by bus to the start of our trek. Our first day consisted of a 9 mile trek where we saw our caming site at the base of a snow capped mountain and the lake.
The second day, was the hardest trek and consisted of a hike throught the salkantay pass. It was hard 17 miles, but it was very satisfying to summit througth the pass . the views were astounding . The Third day was through tropical terrain and we saw a ton of beatiful water falls.
The fourth day , we hiked the 6 miles near a railroad track where we couls visualize Machu Picchu for the firts time. altogether we, had a fantastic trip with some hiccups along the way, however, the crew at Inca Trail were phenomenal.
