Based on the online reviews I was already expecting a good experience but It suppress all my expectations.Our first day we hiked up to the Umatay lake after getting settled on our camping site. It was fantastic to see a glacier lake, very gorgeous.
Second day was the most fantastic one. The hike through Umantay and Salkantay mountains was astonishing. At 4600m on the Salkantay mountain passage summit, we had a ritual with our guide after a special explanation about Inka Gods and their beliefs.
I highly recommend Salkantay trek to anyone. Amazing experience.
