Chat on WhatsAppWe had a great time at Machu Picchu. The food was amazing, especially considering the circumstances. The guides really helped the group get to know each other and we made some really good friends that we will definitely stay in contact with. The Inca sites along the way and the history provided by the guides provided a great lead up to Machu Picchu and helped us to understand the Inca history in the region. The guides helped to encourage others when they were having trouble. I would recommend Inca Trail Reservations to others in the future.
The campsites were well maintained, although the washrooms left some room to improve. The porters were amazing, not only for the amount of work they did, but also for their friendly attitude and helpful demeanor. The tent service in the morning was awesome, such a great way to wake up, especially after the very cold second night. I was happy to be able to meet the porters. The people in our group all seemed to enjoy the experience which made it great for everyone. It would have been better if our train from Agua Calliente left sooner after arrival from Machu Picchu as we really just wanted to go to Cusco for hot showers and sleep instead of staying in the restaurant. We probably all would have had a night out in Cusco if we were back earlier.
