Overall the experience trekking the Inca Trail was an amazing experience. Our guide was Carlos. He was informative and helpful throughout the trek. He always made sure to check up on us, made sure we fully understood the Incan significance of the ruins as well. He was humorous and really made us feel like a family.

The staff which includes the porters and the chef were unbelievable. They took care of carrying the equipment as well as cooking delicious meals. The trek itself was difficult but a worth while experience. Our trek group was composed of seven people from different countries. Throughout the four days we became like a mini family.

I would only recommend that you include porter and guide tipping from the beginning, like on your site. Many of the members of the group were stingy with tips because they were on a budget and didn't know about the tips until orientation. Also, a bigger tent for dinner with better lighting would be beneficial for future treks. Aside from all the was done for us during the trek, Carlos still made the effort to follow up with us after we did our own exploring on Machu Picchu. Thank you!
