Our guide, Raul, was extremely knowledgeable about not only the Inca culture and it´s history, but about the locations that we experienced. He knew all about the plants and animals that inhabited each location, and the Inca´s uses for them. The Inca Trail hike itself was spectacular.
We passed many different ruins and climates, ranging from high mountain deserts to cold mountain peaks, and cloud forest. The views that we saw cannot be described and have made a lasting impression on myself and my trek group.
The porters of our group did a spectacular job at helping us at every possible turn in order to ensure our happiness. The cook was absolutely amazing and we ate like kings every night! The food was spectacular and consisted of four course meals for lunch and dinner, as well as a great breakfast to start the day. The coca tea and coffee that was brought to our tents every morning was also a lifesaver.
The cook was very accommodating for the vegetarians in the group and provided them with just as many options as everyone else. Overall my experience with Inca Trail Reservations was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone considering to take the Inca Trail.
