“The Trail”

Okay, so you decided to go to Peru. Maybe some of your friends went recently and you heard it was amazing, maybe you are fascinated by other cultures and wanted to understand a new one. Whatever your reason you took the plunge, booked the trip, clicked the button. The next thing you should do is book a hike on the Inca Trail .

Believe me, I wasn't sure I could do it, I tried to back out at least twice, and I ever would have done it if two of my best friends weren't already committed. But I'm so glad I did it. For me it wasn't quite life changing but it was definitely life affirming and life evolving. The trek is worth more than the view at the end - that is not only a cheesy metaphor for life but also something I learned along the way.
