The trail was ‘Peruvian flat’

I did the four day, three night Inca Trail trek and I loved it ! This was my first time in the Andes and it was absolutely incredible. The vistas were breathtaking -- steep mountains that pierced the clouds, lush greenery, and historic ruins.

The trail itself was challenging, with long, steep climbs and descents. There were lots and lots and lots of steps ! The altitude was challenging at times, but we had spent two days in Cusco to acclimate, which made it bearable. We went in March, so it was raining on and off throughout the trek. Our porters, guide, and staff were fantastic. The food and service were great !
