Trek yourself before you wreck yourself

After much searching online for a trek I came across the Salkantay trek and read the reviews and I was hooked. The prices were good (not too high or too low) and the responses from their secretary was very prompt and informative.

We had the briefing the night before the trek to make sure all loose ends were tied up and gave any one who wasn't prepared to go pick up their missing gear. Day one started in normal South American fashion (a bit late) but that's what you should expect.

The views were great, the trek was long and it wouldn't be a bad idea to train before hand. Get to Cusco a couple days early to help acclimatize. I recommend this trek !
