Before starting the hike I wasn't sure what to expect as far as difficulty and how it would effect me. During the hike I was able to really break a spiritual as well physical barrier. I could not have asked for better guides that were very knowledgeable of the location and history of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.

The entire trek was a fantastic experience that was life changing. The beginning of the experience was difficult involving lack of communication between the owner and our professor. The owner needs to work on communication and letting people know about changes in advance as well as better communication about tipping porters.
