We made it !
I planned a group tour of fifteen to Machu Picchu for a spring break trip. The two ladies who assisted me with the reservation were great with corresponding promptly and helping me with all of our requests. In addition, the two guides we had, Carlos and Ronnie were fantastic, and the porters were also fantastic. The food was nutritious and ... Continue Reading →
Pacha Mama odyssey
Before starting the hike I wasn't sure what to expect as far as difficulty and how it would effect me. During the hike I was able to really break a spiritual as well physical barrier. I could not have asked for better guides that were very knowledgeable of the location and history of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.

Cusquena buena
The hike was a good time. I had to carry some bags for some of the other members of the group, but I was able to tough it out. I do physical labor for work everyday, because I love it. While hiking is not my ideal form of physical activity, I had a great time on the hike.

Slowly but surely
Machu Picchu was amazing. The hike was very tough but still beautiful. I highly suggest if anyone wants to do this hike, they need to be in tip top shape. I was always the last to finish, but when Ronnie was in the back, he stayed with me and even carried my pack. Carlos kinda skipped ahead and made Ronnie ... Continue Reading →
Inca amazingness
Let me start off by saying that, I do not hike. But, I wanted to go outside of my comfort zone and do something I usually wouldn't do. Needless to say, I really enjoyed my time on the Inca Trail. The first day was the hardest for me because I was not ready for the altitude. Even though, we were ... Continue Reading →
Inca adventure
Despite the confusion with our initial travel plans, Inca Trail Reservations was amazing. Our guide, Carlos was helpful, encouraging and informational. Ronnie was a source of relief, humor and willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat. Our porters exceeded my expectations. They were incredibly fast and very friendly. Our cook was phenomenal. The food was better than ... Continue Reading →
Hot, dirt, tired, accomplished !
I went into this trip not knowing what to expect from the trail. I can safely say that this adventure was physically challenging, exhausting, dirty, mentally trying, and totally amazing. I pushed myself to climb stairs for 5 straight hours, and walk down steep stairs cloaked in clouds, and had a great time doing it.
My only issues were ... Continue Reading →
Eloychambo
This has been a great experience. I have never experienced anything like this adventure. It challenged me physically and mentally however I overcame it. I am really proud of the group and myself for taking on this challenge. While our peers were on some beach during spring break we were hiking treacherous paths. We completed a four day hike on ... Queen of the mountain
I am overall pleased with my experience hiking Machu Picchu ! Carlos was an excellent tour guide. He started off the tour by introducing himself and Ronny and making sure we all understood as a group that we are a family. They made sure to encourage us throughout the trail and always gave high-fives !
Carlos educated the group ... Continue Reading →
Seahawks epic adventure
The entire trek was a fantastic experience that was life changing. The beginning of the experience was difficult involving lack of communication between the owner and our professor. The owner needs to work on communication and letting people know about changes in advance as well as better communication about tipping porters.
Once on the experience however, it was absolutely ... Continue Reading →
I could do it !
Carlos and Ronnie were great guides. We could not do it without them. The food was spectacular. The hike was difficult, especially downhill. I don't know what I will tell Pachacutec in the next life. I am so happy no one had any injuries on the trip !
We actually hiked the trip in three days. We must be ... Continue Reading →
King Patcha-Mama of the mountain
Overall, I had a great experience hiking the Inca Trail. The hike was tough, but I felt that I did my best and enjoyed it every step of the way. This was my first time in Peru and it was such a great experience. I like how friendly everyone has been here.
King of the Mountain (Carlos) was a ... Continue Reading →
Accidental trip
The hike to Machu Picchu was difficult, but I could not be happier that I finished the hike. We ended up doing the hike in three days instead of four due to conditions at the camp site, which made the accomplishment even more great. I thought that I would be huffing and puffing the entire way, but I ended up ... Continue Reading →
The wonderful adventure
When I knew I was leaving for Peru for the Inca Trail, I started watching YouTube to get acquainted with what I was about to do. However, none of that prepared me for the real deal. I had never experienced nature at her entire beauty. Everything was wonderful and everyone was helpful along the way.
I met many wonderful ... Continue Reading →
The experience of my life
"You've come a long way baby" This specific advertising gimmick of the Virginia Slims cigarette reminds me of my adventure through the magnificent Andes mountains. It was my life dream to make this trip and it finally came into fruition.
It may be my last time that I can undertake such a challenging trip, but the experience and adventure ... Continue Reading →
