The park's own figures: base camps reach up to 25 °C by day and fall to -7 °C at night; above 5,000 m nights drop to -20 °C, and the top can reach -30 °C even in daytime. Winter (1 May to 30 October) is a separate season: climbs then need a written application approved by resolution. In 2025-26 the park's rangers, medical posts and air operations ran from 1 December to 6 March.
