Amy the adventurer
This has been the most rewarding experience. The trail was hard but the moral from the guides Edwin and Jim helped all of our group persevere when the trail was tough. Edwin was very informative with his explanations, his depth of knowledge about the trial made it interesting.
The trail was challenging. Going up was hard work but ... Continue Reading →
An experience of a lifetime
Hi there. My name is Laerke. I'm traveling for 4 months so it was nice to do at big trip and track like this. The mountains were amazing and not like anything I have seen before. Even though it was hard it was good and fun.
The guides and the group were funny and kind. The porters were not ... Continue Reading →
Jacque ‘the tank’
Wow what an adventure, met some amazing people, our group became such a team, helping each other out. The walk was tough but manageable, not sure if I'd have managed it without a porter though as day 2 was a climb. Woken up with a cocaine tea lol, the food was amazing better than a restaurant at home. Amazing views ... Continue Reading →
Fascinating trip
Great trip in general. The Inca Trail is very beautiful, although we went in the rainy season. Great hikes and nice mountains. Had a super group with a lot nice people, with whom we had lot of fun. The food was nice as well, which was Peruvian with variety. I especially liked the popcorn (which isn't very Peruvian). And also ... Continue Reading →
Porter on your left
This trip was nothing like I expected ! It was much more difficult. Such raw beauty. Great kind, compassionate, unique people. Porters... Most hard working people I have ever seen. I will never complain again. Who hikes in sandals and doesn't fall? This people deserve gold medals.
The hike had so many variations of green. Food was better than ... Continue Reading →
Ouch my legs hurt
I had an amazing trip. Lots of leg pain from the excruciating second day. The views were amazing. I'm glad I got to share this amazing experience with a group of world class people. Completely amazed by the strength of the porters. Food was much better than my imagination thought it could be.
I'm ready for a sleep since ... Continue Reading →
A nice experience
I had a good experience with the 4 days Inca Trail. The first day was a rather easy day, a training day, but that was nice because then we had time and energy to get to know the others in the group. The second day was the hardest, but still a good and beautiful day.
The whole trail was ... Continue Reading →
I made it
It was really good trip. Unfortunately I got sick the second day but still it was a very good experience. One of the guides carried my bag the hole 3rd day. And I wouldn't had made it without him.
It was so beautiful and you have good time to take some really good pictures. It was nice that you ... Continue Reading →
Leg pain never felt this good
Cloud kissed mountains, ancient ruins, and babbling brooks - the Inca Trail has it all. Combine that with absolutely delicious food and an upbeat tour guide, and this experience is more than I could have hoped for. Granted, I was sweating buckets and felt like I had the geriatric knees of a 90 year old woman, but it's an experience ... Continue Reading →
OMG totally amaze balls
The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is one I will never forget. Day 1 we met with our new "family" for the best 4 days. Everyone in our group was awesome :) a lot of fun spirits. After a nice walk through the terrain. We had the best lunch prepared for us by our hard working porters and chef who ... Continue Reading →
Becoming a porter
I started the hike with mixed feeling. Wasn't sure if the hike would be watered down for the mass tourists or an intense hike to weed out the beginners. I was pleasantly surprised to find the trip was a physical challenge for a seasoned hiker and backpacker, but with conveniences that allowed me enjoy the views and experience. Other than ... Carlos the smart burro
Well done, well done, well done yes great time thank you all are groovy, really enjoyed learning about the culture and history Carlos provided thorough and passionate interpretive sessions as appropriate. I enjoyed the light hearted fun typical of South Americans. We got lucky with the weather and Pachamama took good care of us.

Trekking with the King
I have traveled 6,000 miles purely to visit Machu Picchu and I was not disappointed ! The trek was amazing and I think we encountered just as many emotions as weather conditions. It was hard work in places but well worth the effort to see the amazing views.
The staff on the trip were amazing. The porters were ... Continue Reading →
Inca power
My expectations of the trail, guides and entire experience was better than what I imagined. The reward of accomplishing this challenge is quite amazing. Carlos, King of the Mountain and Jorge, made the adventure entertaining, informative, and a once in a lifetime trip ! When feeling exhausted, we just had to say "Inca Power" to keep going.
Thanks again ... Continue Reading →
Inca Trail with the King of The Mountain
The 4 day Inca Trail with Inca Trail Reservations was excellent value for money ! Carlos our tour guide was excellent in his spoken English and was extremely knowledgeable throughout out tour. The porters and especially the cook excelled themselves, keeping us very well fed.
