What was I thinking
Walked the road of the Inca and the sights and ruins were incredible. The jewel of Machu Puichu at the end of the trail was a mind blowing experience. I set out on my adventure with a wonderful group of strangers from various corners of the world and we all had fun.
The staff of Inca Trail Reservations was ... Continue Reading →
Kutchiwatu
When Americo walked in at the briefing I thought "Is this small Peruvian guy really supposed to take me up the mountain"? But he and his buddy Grober did a great job ! I had a great time with a lot of challenges and some great food. Also a lot of respect for the porters for their great achievement of ... Continue Reading →
A reason to come back
Thanks for giving me an amazing experience that I will never forget. A good reason to come back to Peru to make another trip through the Andes. Going up the 4200m was most probably the most difficult thing I ever did. I learned a lot about myself and my limits. I was glad that going down was a lot easier ... Continue Reading →
Inca Trail story
Once upon a time there was a girl who went to travel South America, and of course she had to do the Inca Trail and see Machu Picchu. She was met by her fellow travelers, 8 handsome men and 2 very nice , helpful and friendly guides and a lot of hardworking Peruvian men.
The group was well fed ... Continue Reading →
King Kong group on tour
Starting early the first day we arrived to Km 82. The first day was a good trek up to our camp, where we got really good food (fresh trout with rice).
The second day we trekked over the next two passes, which was a lot of fun but very intense at the same time. The views were just stunning ... Continue Reading →
Great challenge
I liked the challenge. I am grateful for the water every morning. It was really a life saver. I liked how friendships were developed. The choice of campsites was good, although the toilets left something to be desired, but that was not the fault of the company, and I was very comfortable.
The view was amazing and Grober and ... Continue Reading →
Nice event
This was a once in a life time event. The guides were great, the food was wonderful and everyone was extremely friendly. We were extremely lucky to have such great weather during the day, however it rained every night. The sound of the rain as it fell on tent was very soothing at night.
It was nice to see ... Continue Reading →
Excellent experience
The trek was the best hiking experience I have ever had ! The food was excellent, they served food straight from a kitchen, as if we weren't camped out in the jungle. Nature and the wilderness were beautiful and loomed over you from every direction.
The company was the best part of the trip, every night was filled with ... Continue Reading →
King Kong fart brigade
We started with conviction to finish and we did it ! It was a great start and everyone was very excited for the adventure that we all uniquely experienced. We found out the first day that we would have to hike further on the hardest day and the spirit of the King Kong fart brigade made it happen.

Great four day trek
I enjoyed getting to know our other group members. It was nice to meet other people from all over the world and develop new friendships. Raul our cook was amazing and served the best meals. Our guides Americo and Grober were considerate and compassionate to each members' abilities and checked on them throughout the trip.
We were provided one ... Continue Reading →
Book it
Awesome 4 days ! Great trek, great group, great guide, nothing more to say. Book it !
From start to finish Inca Trail Reservations have been so helpful. When my partner and I had questions about the tour we saw the company website had a live chat function. This was great. The member of staff we spoke to was ... Continue Reading →
We made it
What an amazing 4 days ! There are so many great things to say about this tour I don't know where to start. Obviously there is the incredible scenery but it is the staff who really made this such an amazing experience. The porters carried all our things from camp to camp - I don't know how they do it. ... Chasing rainbows
What a trip ! Much harder than I imagined. But I am here sipping, no gulping a cold beer down in Aguas Calientes. Yes I made it, much to my surprise. It was hard for me mostly, but we had a really good guide, Juan Carlos was just perfect. Very knowledgeable, accommodating, organized and he took great care of us ... Continue Reading →
Altitude and courtesy
First, let me tell you about the altitude. It is no joke. I walked off the plane, down the steps and could feel the lack of oxygen. There is no way to train or prepare for what you are about to encounter. Your best asset is attitude and appreciation. Your attitude will carry you to the top. Your appreciation for ... A walk through the clouds
Just completed a 4 day trek in 3 days. I am not an outdoorsy person but I can say, with the help of Carlos, Ronnie and my friends I made it through. It was a physical and mental challenge, not for the faint of heart.
The scenery was breathtaking, Peru is a beautiful country. If you are debating a ... Continue Reading →
