4 day Inca Trail hike
Thanks to Marcos for a great tour ! He was a great motivation for the many times I struggled. The campsites were a welcome sight at the end of every day. The chef cooked amazing food every night. Our fellow hikers became quick a family, and we loved joking with the guides. "Just a few [minutes, miles, stairs]" is definitely ... Continue Reading →
4 days in the mountains
My 4 day Inca Trail was a great experience. Some amazing views and a good workout as well. Had some good company from the guides, porters and fellow travellers. My guide was very informative and allowed me to explore some of the ruins on my own after he had described some of the Inca history.
Very impressed with the ... Continue Reading →
Team Pokemon workout to Machu Picchu
We had an absolutely great time on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, hiking got way harder because we were constantly cracking up laughing about whatever. We did a team effort of doing push ups on Dead Woman's Pass - don't ask me how we got to that idea and killed time waiting for the check point on our last ... Continue Reading →
Nice group
We stared as a group of 2 Canadian, 2 from the States, 1 Austrian, 1 from England and 1 Peruvian + our guide Lito. It was quite a nice group and we understand each very well from the beginning. Together we had a lot of nice experiences along our trail. Like the cold foot bath on a small lake next ... Continue Reading →
Must do !
I did the trail with Inca Trail Reservations. The whole experience was beyond my expectations. Everyone will tell about the trail that it was amazing. But let me share something about other experiences. Starting with the guides. The guide team consisted of Carlos, Marco and Giancarlo. Amazing people. Have answers to all the questions. All explanations in detail. Very friendly ... Continue Reading →
Cheers to sexy llama
This was one of the best hikes I have ever been on. All the facilities were top class starting with the porters to the guides. Plus everyone did their very best in ensuring that we had a great experience. Special mention to the cooking staff who did an amazing job in ensuring we got a taste of the best of ...
Continue Reading →
Conoci al rey de las montañas

Eye of the tiger
I came here with the intention to visit Machu Picchu the tough way. The intention was to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. It was tough, long and tiring. But I didn't quit. I finished and arrived through strong will. Inca Trail Reservations provided me this opportunity. I feel satisfied.
Thank you for all this experience with ... Continue Reading →

Hardcore adventure
So, apparently 30 kilos bag isn't the best for this hardcore adventure. The second day is absolutely gruesome especially if you are not used to the altitude ! I really liked the background history lessons for each of the Inca sites.
The first day was pretty straight forward for hiking, the locals have plenty of water and juices that ... Continue Reading →
What an experience !
Where to even start. I don't think words or pictures could do that trek justice. The Inca Trail is something you have to experience for yourself. I felt blessed to be with such an amazing group and the guides were an absolute delight. Kind and supportive. The food was amazing (even for a vegan).
It was really challenging however ... Continue Reading →
Gorgeous Salkantay
My daughter and I chose Machu Picchu for our first vacation together. She had been living in Ecuador for a year and a Machu Picchu trek seemed perfect for two active people. I had been very concerned about the altitude because we were only able to spend one night in Cusco to acclimate. My doctor prescribed Diamox. I got no ... Continue Reading →
Don’t stop till you get enough
Found this website online and after researching for a couple days I decided with this one. I'm really glad I did as well.
Day 1 was pretty simple and a good warm up however day 2 was a tough 10 hour 21 km hike up the Salkantay mountain and back down again. Weather went from cold to rainy to ... Continue Reading →
Trek yourself before you wreck yourself
After much searching online for a trek I came across the Salkantay trek and read the reviews and I was hooked. The prices were good (not too high or too low) and the responses from their secretary was very prompt and informative.
We had the briefing the night before the trek to make sure all loose ends were tied ... Continue Reading →
